Svein Terje jobber med EU/EØS- og konkurranserett, statstøtterett og offentlige anskaffelser. Han bistår med rådgivning, tvisteløsning, forhandlinger og strategi og rangeres som en av Norges ledende advokater innenfor disse fagområdene. Han har rådgitt i en rekke av etterforskningssakene i Norge, og deltatt i flere komplekse fusjoner og oppkjøp i Norge, UK og EU. Han har prosedert tvistesaker for EFTA-domstolen, Høyesterett, lagmannsrett og tingrett, samt deltatt i tvistesaker for EU-domstolen.

Han var medlem av anskaffelseslovutvalget fra 2022-2024 (NOU 2023:26 og NOU 2024:9) og er (fra januar 2026) medlem av advokatforeningens lovutvalg for konkurranserett.
