Svein Terje advises on all aspects of EU and Norwegian competition law, state aid law, public procurements, EU/EEA law and related commercial strategy. He has extensive experience representing clients before the EU/EEA and Norwegian authorities, and is regularly instructed to lead on complex investigations, negotiations, disputes or merger control processes.

Svein Terje has significant expertise working closely with clients across a broad range of sectors. He is equally at home counselling in-house lawyers and executives, combining commercial, strategic and legal advice to help his clients achieve their objectives.

A frequent speaker at conferences, Svein Terje is the author of numerous competition, procurement and state aid articles as well as co-author of the EEA State Aid chapter of Salerno, Leigh Hancher: State Aid and Energy.

He is a member of the Norwegian Bar Association's Committee for Antitrust and Competition law (from January 2026).
