Alexandra Refsnes is an employment law specialist at Thommessen with extensive experience in both individual and collective employment law. She advises Norwegian and international businesses across the full spectrum of employment matters - from hiring and employment agreements to dismissals, summary dismissals, negotiation of termination agreements and employment litigation before the courts. Alexandra has extensive litigation experience and regularly represents clients before the Norwegian courts across the full range of employment disputes.

She has particular expertise in redundancies and restructuring processes, transfers of undertakings, working time regulations and whistleblowing cases. She has substantial experience advising employers in dismissal and summary dismissal cases, including negotiating and drafting termination agreements.

Her clients span the private and public sectors, with particular experience from the technology sector, the energy and power industry, the retail sector and the financial services industry. Alexandra advises major listed corporations as well as international companies establishing or winding down operations in Norway.

On the advisory side, she provides strategic employment law advice in connection with mergers, demergers and acquisitions, managing complex downsizing and reorganisation processes, assessment of working time arrangements and shift schedules, handling whistleblowing cases, drafting employment agreements, advising on consultants, temporary staffing and other forms of workforce engagement.
