The Prospera Tier 1 Law Firm Review for Norway is an annual independent survey conducted by Kantar SIFO. The survey provides thoroughly researched feedback on how the 300 largest business clients rate Norwegian commercial law firms. All businesses interviewed have a minimum annual legal service procurement spending of NOK 2 million. In the 2022 survey Thommessen ranks as number one on "Best Overall Performance" – both overall and among the very largest clients – those with more than NOK 7 million in annual legal service spending.

Best legal competence
The Prospera survey has two main sections. The first section ranks law firms on miscellaneous parameters, such as strategic sparring partner, client understanding, business-minded advice, project management, service and availability, specialist competence, etc. The second section is focused on legal expertise – across a number of disciplines. Also in the latter part, Thommessen is ranked at the top, with the highest score on legal competence for the eighth year in a row.
