Christian is Managing Partner at Thommessen and a leading adviser on M&A, capital markets transactions and strategic investments in the energy, natural resources and infrastructure sectors.
He has extensive experience advising industrial companies, sponsors and financial investors on complex transactions, both in Norway and internationally. Over the years, Christian has been involved in several of the largest and most complex transactions across the energy, natural resources and infrastructure sectors.
Christian joined Thommessen in 2009 and became a partner in 2018, before taking on the role of Managing Partner in September 2026. Alongside his legal practice, he has held several key leadership positions within the firm, including as a member of the Board, Head of Department and leader of Thommessen’s work within the oil and gas sector.
Christian is ranked as a Leading Partner for Oil and Gas by The Legal 500.
