Kristian M. Lind is joining Thommessen's Stavanger office as a partner, where he will contribute to the further development of the firm's expertise in corporate law and M&A in the region.
Kristian has broad experience in transactions and corporate law, particularly within the technology and energy sectors. He has spent the past nine years as a partner at Wiersholm, and throughout his career has worked extensively on cross-border transactions, joint ventures and other collaborative structures between investors. Kristian works primarily with clients in investment funds, industrial players and other investors.
– I will be contributing to strengthening the expertise and capacity in corporate law and transactions, particularly within energy and technology. These are rapidly evolving industries where the need for strategic legal advice is significant, he says.
He adds:
– I am very interested in law as a discipline, and especially about using that knowledge as a tool to deliver concrete results and solutions for our clients. I hope my experience can contribute both to our client work and to further professional development.
Close to the decision-making
Based in the region, Kristian will be close to local clients whilst continuing to work on national and international transactions.
– The ambition is straightforward: to continue delivering advice of the highest professional quality and to ensure predictable processes that produce measurable results for our clients. Based in Stavanger and with Thommessen's national platform, we can be close to decisions locally whilst also carrying out national and cross-border transactions with the same intensity as before, he says, adding:
– Thommessen has built up a strong team and a solid market position in Stavanger. I have been warmly welcomed by the team at the office and I look forward to contributing to the continued development of the office and of Thommessen's position.
M&A partner Thomas Abrahamsen is looking forward to having Kristian join the team.
– His profile and expertise are a perfect fit with what we do, where the main focus lies in transactions, projects and disputes within energy, technology and industry. We have been steadily gaining market share in Western Norway since the establishment of a new office in Stavanger in 2020. Thommessen has the largest M&A team in Norway and we now have even greater capacity locally, nationally and internationally, says Thomas.
Local presence
Kristian moved with his family to Egersund in 2021 and has since been commuting to Oslo for work. He is now looking forward to settling in with colleagues in Stavanger.
