Sustainability and climate risk

As one of Norway’s largest law firms we take our social responsibility seriously, and endeavor to contribute to a well-functioning and sustainable business and industry.

The UN sustainability goals for 2030 define17 areas in climate and environment, economics and social conditions where the world still has a potential for improvement. Business and industry must play an active role if we are to succeed in achieving the sustainability goals.

The negative impacts of climate change affect society as a whole, including business and industry. The challenges presented by climate change involve both physical and transitional risks associated with regulatory, statutory, financial and technological countermeasures.

We are good strategic advisers when business and industry need assistance in managing the risks and opportunities associated with climate change and other aspects of sustainable development. We create long-term values for our clients by integrating sustainability into our legal counselling for all business sectors. As legal advisers we are expected to deliver as we learn. While helping our clients to achieve their goals, we are also working actively to become a more sustainable firm.
