    The Parliament Pension Scheme case

    Svein Aage Valen acted as defence lawyer for previous Member of Parliament (MP), Magnus Stangeland, throughout three court hearings in the highly profiled "Parliament Pension Scheme case". Stangeland was found not guilty by the Supreme Court in April 2012.

    The Larsen case

    Svein Aage has been leader of the Defence Lawyer team defending the well known and profiled finance man and oil business entrepreneur, Mr Berge Gerdt Larsen. Larsen is facing an indictment for serious tax fraud related to ownership to oil business entities established in so called tax havens. The main hearing in Bergen City Court lasted for six months. Larsen was found guilty by the City Court. The verdict is appealed and the Appeal Court has decided a full new hearing
