    Sale of Fortum's distribution and heat business

    Jens advised Fortum Corporation in the sale of its Norwegian electricity distribution business and heat business to Hafslund ASA and iCON Infrastructure Partners II, L.P., respectively for a total consideration is EUR 340 million on a cash and debt free basis. The sale to Hafslund also comprised Fortum's shareholdings in Fredrikstad Energi AS (49%) and Fredrikstad Energi Nett AS (35%).

    Advice to NorthConnect

    Jens heads the Thommessen team advising NorthConnect in connection with the contemplated establishment of an HVDC interconnector between Norway and the UK. NorthConnect is a project company owned by four partners, Agder Energi AS, E-CO Energi AS, Lyse Produksjon AS and Vattenfall AB. The project has inter alia consisted of legal assistance regarding licensing issues and the regulatory framework for the establishment of interconnectors between EEA and EU member states.
