Øyvind Mork Karlsen wins the Corporate and M&A category in the prestigious Rising Star Awards 2020 Europe. Øyvind is the only Norwegian lawyer on the shortlist, spanning all categories.
The Rising Stars Awards Europe provides law and professional services firms recognition for the effort of their up and coming practitioners in the legal profession. A Rising Star is defined as an associate or of counsel (or a recently raised partner), with up to fifteen years professional experience, are under forty years old, and have been acting at a partner level. The individuals shortlisted have been widely praised by peers and clients in their markets, as well as having played key roles on influential projects and transactions during 2020.
Øyvind has been with the Thommessen M&A department since 2014 and was appointed new partner in January 2021. He has extensive M&A experience, and assists numerous Norwegian and international private equity and venture capital firms, family offices, entrepreneurs and private enterprises on M&A transactions across a wide range of industries. He has a special focus on the renewables, private equity and venture capital sectors.
In addition to winning the the Corporate and M&A category, Øyvind also receive a jurisdiction award for Norway.
