BlackRock is the world's largest investment firm and leading within the renewable energy sector. The Thommessen team was headed by Bendik Christoffersen and Jacob F Bull.

Alcoa, the international aluminium company, will acquire the entire power production for the first 15 years after the start of operation to supply its Norwegian plants. The power purchase agreement has been guaranteed by the Norwegian Export Credit Guarantee Agency (GIEK).

The transaction agreement between BlackRock and Zephyr, and all the supply and construction agreements for the construction of the wind farm were entered into on 27 June 2018. The power purchase agreement entered into force at the same date. The project will be project financed by DekaBank (Germany).

The planning of the wind farm started more than ten years ago and Thommessen has been assisting all the way.

The wind farm shall be built ten kilometres north of the city of Florø and is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2020. The wind farm will have up to 47 turbines with a total installed capacity up to 197.4 MW. This provides an annual production corresponding to the electricity consumption of more than 40,000 houses.

Zephyr AS is owned by the energy companies Østfold Energi AS (50 %), Vardar AS (25 %) and Glitre Energi AS (25 %).
