EU/EEA and Competition Law

The EEA Agreement was signed in 1992. Since then, our lawyers have been involved in many significant cases dealing with issues within EU/EAA and competition law. We were involved when the legislation was being drawn up and have litigated numerous cases for both Norwegian and international courts in the EU and EFTA.

Several cases have been landmark decisions, influencing the development of the law, and have been of large economic and commercial significance for our clients.

We have been involved in major issues within Norway – from complex merger cases to possible breaches of competition law. We have extensive experience with the four important pillars of the area: competition, public procurement, state aid and the four freedoms. We assist on transactions, contract negotiation and commercial projects in the litigation process and on major investigative matters.
