Alarga is an advocacy group with the objective of providing opportunities in the private sector for talented young people with foreign-born, non-western parents. This is achieved, among other things, through a scholarship program for students at master degree level. Thommessen will be Alarga’s first partner company within the area of law.
”Thommessen has understood that there are benefits to be gained from attracting talent with intercultural backgrounds. They see the long-term competitive advantages and it is therefore natural for this firm to be our first partner company within the area of law,” said Dilek Ayhan, Managing Director of Alarga.
CEO of Umoe IKT and Alarga board member, Erik Villum, said that he was pleased to have a leading law firm as part of the partner team and that he considers Thommessen to be an exciting and innovative company.
”We see an increasing need to attract talent with a broader appeal,” said Managing Partner Kai Thøgersen. Mr Thøgersen placed particular emphasis on language skills and understanding of other cultures. Thommessen is the first partner company within the field of law. Other partner companies include Orkla, Telenor, Yara and Statkraft.
